This Skid Steer is built by
Melroe BobCat and has 2 pieces of original equipment specifically
designed for this Bobcat for Beekeepers. The Bobcat Company
designed the "swivel wheel" which attaches to the back of the
bobcat, and Clark Forklift Company designed the Hydraulic Forklift
Mast which attaches to the front of the Bobcat.
I call it a "dual purpose ON and OFF road
forklift".
The purpose of the swivel wheel is to lift the
rear wheels of the skid steer off the ground and allow for smooth
turning while moving palletized loads and is much more "grass and
turf friendly then traditional skid steers" This swivel works
exceptionally well and even allows the skid steer to provide a near
"zero turn capability". The hydraulic mast allows the
palletized load to be efficiently and quickly lowered or raised for
loading, unloading, and moving purposes. The main benefit of
the mast is that the operator does not have to make adjustments in
the "tilt" of the load as it lowers and raises like the traditional
"lifting action" of other skid steers. An important note is
that the Hydraulic forklift mast on this skid steer does tilt
forward and backwards a total of 18 inches to allow for loading,
unloading, and moving of palletized loads on uneven terrain or
vehicle decks that may not be level. |
